Last day of the worst class ever!

Yes that's right today is the last day ofthe most miserable class I've taken in my entire college career with a man who's main goal in lifeis to make our lives dreadful. He turned a subject that I love dearly history into an hour and twenty minutesof misery. If it wasn't for new found friends Linden and Maria I wouldn't come to class as much as I do. Needless to say after my exam Thursday celebrations are necessary...since schoolhas literally consumed my life for the past month I need to catch anyone followingup.

Beginning of April we took a trip to West Virginia to celebrate Derik's grandparents 50th anniversary
Us
The Walters Family
Us again :)

Then it was time to return back to reality to prepare for the last month of school which means papers, exams, projects, and presentations. But it also involved some celebrating! The Saturday before Easter we celebrated Aydan turning 2! :) Happy birthday to my sweet nephew:
Opening presents
Aydan's aunts :)
Sisters
Then on Sunday celebrations continued for it was Easter Sunday! Christ HAS RISEN from the dead Praise the Lord! After a wonderful service at church we had Easter lunch at Aunt Pat's which included wayyyy too much food, an Easter egg hunt, and a snake. As Tricia was walking down the stairs to hide Easter eggs she almost steppedon a snake slithering up the stairs...lovely.
Mom and her girls
Daddy's girls of course :)
Sisters

Now onto finishing exams and graduation celebrations :)

....while in international relations class.

So what DeSantis is saying about World Banks is going in one ear and out the other...very typical. Great professor...just not interested in the subject. Nonetheless HAPPY HUMP DAY! Tomorrow being my Friday this is also know as my Friday eveeee :)

I came to the realization yesterday that I'm done with this whole school thing, unfortunately for me I still have another semester of undergrad and then 2 years of grad school. Everybody keeps saying stay in school forever...yes, the economy is bad but I'm sick of sitting in class, doing homework, writing papers, and taking tests. I'm sure I will eat my words once I get in the real world I'm just ready for the next chapter of my life. As I just typed that statement I hear my mother saying..."don't wish your life away"...why I do agree with her and I know time does fly I'm just ready for something different. I'm ready to be a guidance counselor for elementary school student or college students which I also came to that realization that maybe I'm supposed to work with college students. After doing my internship last semester I realized that I really enjoy working with college students but kids still tug at my heart strings. That's what grad school is for though to figure out what exactly I want to do. Ok end of life rant.

I'm also ready to get out of this class...although allergies await me outside so does an afternoon with two sweet Kano kiddos and they always bring a smile to my face. He did just announce we would only be in here 30-45 minutes instead of the normal 1 hour and 20 minutes not too bad I guess.

A month later..

With the craziness this past month has been I haven't gotten a chance to update this thing so here we go.

My roommate finally decided to post pictures from my surprise party:

Don't be fooled this doesn't happen often
This however, does. He lets me win...most of the time.
Best friend surprised me needless to say I was shocked!

Before hell week began Derik and I traveled to Hickory to get away from Greensboro which was much needed. A weekend spent with the Walters/Townsend and baby Jack :) We attempted to plan our cruise which now looks like an all inclusive resort stay for some fun in the sun and relaxation due to pricing of cruises being slightly ridiculous.

On the way to Hickory..
MID TERMS that is what consumed my life for the majority of this past month. 4 Mid terms in 3 days was what I like to refer to as Hell week. Thankfully I got an A two B+'s and one B- so I'm not complaining too much. Except it caused me way too much anxiety. That I found to be completely unnecessary.

SPRING BREAK
Oh how glorious last week was. While my sweet boyfriend and 13 other guys packed up to head to Destin, FL for a week. I was able to catch up on life, sleep, and my family time. The first part of spring break was spent in Burlington with my entire family which rarely happens. All 4 of us in the same house which was really nice. We forced mom into watching dance videos with us which produced many hours of laughter as we have 20 years worth of memories caught on tape. From the tickling feather incident where my sister tickled her fellow dancers with a feather and then had to be pulled off stage by Ms Tracy to my senior year dancing to butterfly kisses with my daddy. Second half of spring break included UNCG grad school interview, girls nights with the roomie, and KANO kiddos :) Derik finally returned on Saturday night and Sunday we spent part of our afternoon at the ACC championship game. GO HEELS. Even though we lost.
Sweet nephew Aydan at lunch on Sunday
Sister and I at the GAME GO HEELS!

Bucket list item checked off: attend a CAROLINA vs Dooookies game.

So this has been my life for the past month or so. Hopefully I'll get better at this update thing :)

Valentines Day...

As I'm sitting in International Relations class I decided to tune out talk of different types of War and do a blog update. :)

Good news its Valentine's Day and I have the best Valentine in the world...
Yes it's true I do. Since he has lovely class from 6-10 we celebrated Sunday night with a lovely dinner at Outback one of our favorites followed by wine and PS I Love You..which he slept through the majority of. Monday we both had full days of classes and work so I attempted making chicken pie but ran out of time before he had to go to class. So I watched my Monday night shows and waited on him to eat a super late dinner. Our Valentines might not have been filled with many materialistic things but it was definitely filled with love and thats what is most important after all. Which shouldn't only be shown on one day a year or by just giving each other material things it should be celebrated everyday. Side note: I shouldn't have to apologize for being happy. Good news also came yesterday as I was granted an interview for GRADUATE SCHOOL! Didn't think that was ever going to happen. So there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Jersday IPHONE 4 Chick Fila breakfast and other things...

Good morning :) Well almost good afternoon. I received an overly excited phone call from my sweet boyfriend at 8:30 this morning informing me that we were going to get his iphone. Being the gracious girlfriend I am I got up and got ready and then we spent an hour getting his iPHONE. Let me tell you, it was like a kid at Christmas. His eyes lit up when Cooney handed him his new phone. I did get a breakfast date out of it so I'm not complaining too much. Now Danielle and I are off to pay out our butt's for rent because some people don't feel its necessary to hold up to their end of an agreement. Oh well just less drama out of our lives to deal with and believe me nothing but drama on the other side of that agreement. Then I suppose I will be a studious student and force myself to listen to 3 hours of lectures about things that yes they are important to know, but in my line of work I'm not sure I need to know about the Old Regime. But thats just me...

So while talking with my sister about the random things we do talk about the subject of blogging came about. We talked about her different friends that have blogs and she mentioned that she also had started a blog...so like a little sister does I decided to play copycat. Hopefully I won't bore you to death because my life is currently anything but boring...
